Once you arrive abroad, you can still enjoy the comforts of home. Most of our partner universities have perks like wireless internet, computer labs, great libraries, academic advising, cafeterias and many more.
Once you’ve completed your program (with rock star grades, no doubt), we’ll go ahead and send you your foreign transcripts. To make the process less of a hassle, we’ll also send a copy to your home institution.
While you’ll have a home base in your host city, we’ll also make sure you see plenty of your host country through our unique excursions and offer you an international excursion, too. There will be plenty of chances for travel both locally and internationally. Be sure to pack the camera!
We want you to dive in to your host country’s culture. That means we’ll facilitate a ton of fun cultural activities that’ll help you cultivate a deeper understanding and appreciation of your host country’s history and customs.
Social interaction on study abroad trips is always a good thing. We can help you find the best your host city has to offer, from cooking classes to concerts, sports to shopping, or something completely different—just ask your friendly Program Director.

We’re special among study abroad companies for our preparedness. Our website, for instance, will help you get all the information you need on classes before you come abroad so you can make informed decisions about what to study.
If you’re planning to fulfill some of your academic requirements abroad and will be transferring credits, we’ll help with that, too. No problem. Just print or email syllabi to your advisor at home from our website.
If apartment living is appealing to you, that’s great. We’ve screened and selected apartments that you will share with up to 4 people. Apartment accommodation is furnished, close to our partner universities, and include internet access. Often, apartments also have the hook-ups for international phone calls, too.
Living in the dorms is an awesome way to meet other students from all over the world. There’s always something going on! Some dormitories have a cafeteria, so you wont have to worry about cooking.
Perhaps you’d like to go all out on the cultural immersion front and stay with a family in your host city. Usually, you’ll get some meals from the family and the opportunity to make relationships that could last a lifetime!
Internet access is available and included in any form of accommodation you might choose. You’ll be able to connect either by wireless or cable (included) access.
Each and every one of our programs is run by an onsite program director. All of our friendly program directors are trained to help you settle in, guide you in your academics, and pretty much assist you however they can in achieving your personal goals for study abroad. Your safety, health, happiness, and success are always their top priorities.
Your program director will brief you at orientation of any health and safety information you might need, as well as give you the low-down on culture and customs. And, if you ever get into trouble, you can call your program director any time, 24/7.
LCA’s onsite orientation program is designed to give you the maximum amount of information in terms of both usefulness and downright awesomeness. You’ll get our one of a kind city tour at the start of the program, which will help you familiarize yourself with your new surroundings—the host city and your new university digs.
We don’t want you to stress about things like insurance while you are abroad. That’s why we enroll all our students in a comprehensive medical insurance program personally tailored to study abroad participants.
Having the freedom to move around your host city is a wonderful thing. At LCA, we include transportation passes (when applicable) in your program fee. This way, you can go to class and explore your city throughout the duration of your program without worrying about the extra cost.
After a long flight, the last thing you’ll want to be doing is figuring out how to get to your apartment. We’ll pick you up at the airport and take you to your accommodation in a private shuttle. LCA takes care of its students from the moment they step foot into their host country!
It’s important to be able to keep in touch with other students in your program and your program director during your time abroad. From planning a night out to calling your doctor, we don’t want you stuck without an easy way to communicate. We will provide you with a pay-as-you-go phone to keep. All you have to do is load up the credits as you need them, and get talking!
Premium services require an additional fee and are subject to availability
University life is all about learning new things and sharing experiences with friends. However, some students would rather not share a room. Having your own space can be nice, so for an additional $300-$500 (depending on program) LCA can guarantee you with a room to yourself.
Flying by yourself to another country can seem intimidating at first. If you would rather not navigate your host country by yourself after a long flight, a private transfer to your housing can be arranged for you. LCA will have someone waiting at the airport for you, to help make your transition abroad a little easier. Keep in mind that some programs include group airport pick-ups.
Students often decide to come to their host country a week early or stay a week late. Coming early is a great way to explore and enjoy the city before your classes begin. If this is something that interests you, an LCA apartment may be available for you.
Students often enjoy extending their trip abroad around the holidays and during the month of august. If you would like stay in your host country after your program ends, we may be able to accommodate you. Whether it’s for a week or up to a month, an LCA apartment may be available for you (as long as you are not violating your student visa).
LCA knows the importance of friends and family, we always like to help you accommodate them when they visit while you’re abroad.
Your program director may be available help organizing your family’s accommodation while visiting you, which may be a hotel or a short-term rental. Family and friends are welcome on most daytrips, cultural, and social activities. Just make sure to check with your program director once onsite.
